The ICC aims to give back to the beautiful Cayman Islands where the Indian diaspora resides and works and acknowledges the appreciation that Caymanians have extended of their service and value systems. The deep-rooted Indian ideologies of peace, the unity of the human race, the sanctity of spirituality and a oneness with the universe, mean that the Indian Cayman Community’s philanthropic efforts and community programmes aim to benefit one and all in need. The rich tapestry of Indian culture is for all to behold and a slice of this culture is what ICC wishes the Cayman Islands and the rest of the world to savour!
Born in Arantangi, Tamil Nadu, Abdul Hameed’s journey is a story of perseverance, vision, and community leadership. He began his culinary career in Mumbai, working with Chef Air Flight Catering, before moving to the prestigious Hilton Bahrain as a pastry chef. He later joined Carnival Cruise Line, and in 1998, during a cruise stop in the Cayman Islands, he discovered the place he would soon call home. An opportunity at The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa marked the beginning of his successful journey in Cayman. Over the years, he has grown into a respected restaurateur, hotelier, and entrepreneur. He is the owner of Southern Spice and The Treat Restaurant, both of which reflect his passion for hospitality and authentic cuisine.

Our mission is to unite members, celebrate our culture, and strengthen community bonds. Together, we aim to preserve traditions while embracing the spirit of Cayman. Your participation and support help us grow stronger as a family.
Let’s continue building a vibrant and inclusive community for all.
As we move forward, I encourage all members to actively participate, share ideas, and join hands in making the Indian Community Cayman a stronger and more inclusive family. Together, we can build a legacy that inspires future generations.
Thank you for being an integral part of this journey.
